+ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I purchase tickets at the door?
Unfortunately, no tickets will be available at the door. In fact, we suggest that you purchase your tickets soon, as there are a limited number available.

Do I need to bring my ticket to get in?
It would make things easier if you brought your receipt. But just in case, we will have a list at the door of people who purchased tickets online. Just bring your ID.

What does the $35 ticket price cover?
The ticket covers all of your food and wine for the evening. $20 of the ticket price is tax-deductible.

Do I have to be present to win?
No. Just make sure to include your phone number on the bid sheet and we’ll call you if you win.

How can I pay if I win?
We will accept cash, check, or credit cards.

What type of products will there be?
We have a wide selection of heels, sandals, loafers, wedges, peep toes, and boots, as well as many different handbags. Sizes will range from 6-10, including half sizes.

I hate silent auctions. Can I just buy the shoes or handbag and not have to bid?
Yes! On each bid sheet will be a ‘Buy It Now’ price. If you want to skip the auction and buy the products then, just pick up the shoe on display and the bid sheet and take it to the registration table.

Will there be men’s or children’s shoes?
No. Only women’s shoes and handbags will be part of the silent auction.

Not everyone wears the same size shoe—are the shoes returnable?
Many of the shoes at the auction will be returnable to the store for exchange for the correct size. It will be noted on the top of the bid sheet if the shoe is returnable for a different size. If the shoe is returnable, you will have until May 22nd to exchange the shoes to the store. The handbags will not be returnable.

When will the silent auction be done?
We will have a staggered closing, with some of the products finished at 8:30, some at 8:45 and the rest at 9:00.

I am interested in helping my community by getting involved with the YWCA.
The YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee helps families leave abusive households and start new lives, provides free GED® education, and mentors middle school girls in some of Nashville's toughest neighborhoods. The YWCA exists to educate, encourage and break down those barriers that perpetuate racism, violence and hopelessness.  For more information about getting involved, call Gail Sonia at the YWCA at 615-983-5102.
